Community is everything. This is an area that brings a sense of inclusiveness. If there is one thing my Mother Aunty Mary King, who was born on Country at the Gully Katoomba, taught me- it is that Community can help heal and bring together people from all walks of life to hear one another's stories.

My Mother was removed as a young child due to her Aboriginal background, but later shared with me her life focussed on what it means to belong. Community helped her to heal.

Holding  walk n talks, workshops, and coordinating Bush, Swamp and Land care groups has allowed me to share these stories with Community. Many companies have enjoyed bringing their staff to a Bush care day, to plant and reconnect through nature. Please inquire via email for a personalised quote.

COMMUNITY

Aboriginal Culture was dominant for thousands of years. Culture was crucial for land management, lore and to enable all of the Community to have a sense of self worth and security.

When I facilitate educational lessons, training and workshops across diverse groups such as National Parks, TAFE, Universities, Schools & Corporate events, I aim to promote Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Competence and Safety. I have been consulted on reconciliation plans and enjoy adding valuable input, irrelevant of business size. Currently these sessions can take place either face to face, online or filmed prior for the event- depending upon your requirements.

This knowledge encourages our Community to understand how to work together and feel a sense of connection to Indigenous practices. Please inquire via email for a personalised quote.

CULTURE

Having had great connections with Uncles and Aunties, especially my Mother Aunty Mary King, it is always an honour to be invited to do a Welcome to Country on Gundungurra Nation.
I love to share the stories I know about Country and pay respects to Elders past and present.

This traditional practice done over thousands of years, is a respectful invitation to welcoming you onto our land. These welcomes are often done with a smoking ceremony and clap-sticks and are enjoyed by many.

A highlight for Educational, Corporate and Community events in the Blue Mountains, that many people never get to experience- and once they do they never forget- either face to face, online or filmed prior to the event- depending upon your requirements.
