University Walk and Talk Protected Areas
David has the opportunity to be regularly engaged with tertiary education organisations to deliver educational sessions. The kind words stated above are a reflection from a university student who attended a protected area walk organised by a university.
"David was able to teach us about the ongoing adaptive management of the Gedumba swampland by tracing its origins back to a point in time when David’s family and the Mobs of the region lived with an intimate relationship to the landscape, and to me, this would have been an incredibly emotive and challenging task. I’m sure David felt this challenge, yet the way he was able to turn the stories of hardship and injustice into a story of progression and reconnection to Country was inspirational."
open arms corporate event- fairmont resort
David has amazing opportunities to acknowledge corporate companies to the Blue Mountains, through a Welcome to Country ceremony.
He takes the time to get to know his clients prior, and to share relevant stories from his journey. This picture was taken at the Fairmont Resort in the early morning fog and cold for a War Veteran organisation.
At times, David's words, wisdom and stories can help heal the soul, surrounded by the breathtaking Blue Mountains scenery.
"we so enjoyed your welcome to country and knowledge. thank you for sharing, the couples really enjoyed and connected with your stories"

"Firstly, a big thank-you to you for your work with us today. It was really interesting, and I know a lot of the kids were in rich conversation about your workshop later in the day. The High School videos are excellent, and I've had great feedback from teachers. You communicate in such a warm and engaging way, and have such deep knowledge of language and culture. We would love to work with you again when we are able to be onsite at school, it sounds like you are close by in Hazelbrook."
NORTH FACE corporate event- megalong valley
David enjoys regular attendance and invitations to both outdoor and indoor corporate events. It is a privilege and honour for him to share
Country, Connection and Culture.
A respectful Welcome to Country ensures all visitors are welcomed culturally and can feel a sense of belonging to their corporate event.
David has many stories to share and often sets the tone for the event as stated by these kind words above.
"Your address & Welcome to Country were absolutely incredible. It set such a powerful tone & context for the evening that followed."
Fire Requiem Sydney Festival
David is often invited off Country to partake in workshops/ festivals and tertiary education sessions. These kind words were shared with David as a reflection of the recent bushfires forum that took place at the Sydney Festival in Paddington. A booked out venue that was engaging and emotive.
"Thank you so much for coming all the way to Paddington David and for sharing with us your generosity, wisdom and care. I really found your panel the most moving and inspiring out of the whole festival and you could feel these sentiments were shared throughout the crowd. I heard some really lovely and encouraging comments from some audience members afterwards which is a real joy and the main reason why we hold these events to get people to start questioning the world around them and to drive them into action. I really wish you all the best with all your amazing work you are doing and I really hope we can collaborate again soon!"
NAIDOC- BLUE MOUNTAINS CULTURAL CENTRE
David is often asked to participate at NAIDOC events throughout the year, either face to face or via online at the The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre

These kind words were from a participant of David's talk on sharing his journey with Community at The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre. Many people leave one of David's sessions feeling a new found understanding of the Blue Mountains and Aboriginal practices.
"Thank you so much for your contributions to the NAIDOC Community Day.I really was moved listening and learning from all that you shared and feel so much more oriented in this place now that I know some more of it’s histories."
