Walk n Talks – Walking Country, Sharing Story

Walk n Talks are a unique opportunity to experience Gundungurra Country through the eyes of Traditional Owner David King (Dingo Darbo). These guided walks offer an authentic connection to land, culture, and community, shared through storytelling and lived experience.

Welcome to Country

Walking with Purpose
Each Walk n Talk is more than just a walk — it’s a cultural journey. Along the way, David shares traditional knowledge about plants, landscapes, and sacred sites, while weaving in personal and ancestral stories that highlight the strength, resilience, and beauty of Aboriginal culture.

Community and Connection
Inspired by his mother, Aunty Mary King, and the healing power of community, David’s Walk n Talks create a space for learning, reflection, and inclusiveness. Whether for schools, corporate groups, or community organisations, these walks foster deeper understanding and appreciation of Country.

Tailored Experiences
Walk n Talks can be adapted to suit the needs of your group — from short local walks to full-day cultural immersion experiences. Bushcare and Landcare sessions can also be incorporated for groups wanting to give back to Country through planting and restoration activities.

“David shared the story of the Gedumba Swampland with great honesty, tracing its origins back to when his family and local mobs lived in deep connection with the land. Despite the emotional weight, he transformed stories of hardship into a message of resilience, progression, and reconnection to Country. It was truly inspiring.”

— University Student, March 2021

David regularly delivers cultural education sessions and Walk n Talks for tertiary education organisations, inspiring students to connect more deeply with Country and culture.
